SuMMa TiMe FuN!

My family and I havn't been all together since before Richard left on his mission. So we thought it was about time we plan a trip together. We all met at Kim's house my sister in Washington. We had a blast all together lounging, laughing, shopping, napping, eating, and much much more.

Whenever we visit Kim we always hit up Burgerville because its Deeelicious. They have some dang good burgers, fries, icecream ya know all that stuff your not supposed to eat.
And of course I cant but help taking pictures of Alli she is so dang cute.. I crave that little girl she has the cutest personality. She used to be scared of Taylor because of his facial hair but now she is his little buddy its pretty cute.

My little nephew Brycen turned 8 so we had the chance while we were up there to see him get baptized. I wish I had more pictures of him but he looked like quite the stud in his snazzy suite. It was really fun to see him get baptized.

(Brycen is the one on the right)

The last night we were there we had a fun little fire pit in Kim's back yard. It felt like we were in the mountains because her whole back yard you just see forest. I love visiting Oregon and Washington I would totally live there.

Strawberry Days Rodeo

Taylor and I love going to Rodeo's and Strawberry days is one of our favorites. We used to live right next to the rodeo arena so its kinda fun to go back to our old stompin grounds.

We always go super early to get good seats and to watch all the Rode "hoes" and wannabe Cowboys trickle in to the arena. I am amazed every year how Decked out girls get for a rodeo. As we were leaving the rodeo I heard this girl say " Ewww oh my heck it stinks" there was a bunch of calves off to the side. I looked at Taylor and we both had this look on our faces like really is she serious.
I thought this was pretty cool.. The lady on the horse on top of the trailor got those buffalo to get on top of that trailor. My favorite part of Rodeo's is the Bull riding I find it so entertaining to watch ....I personally would not be opposed if thats all that went on at a rodeo.

Im not going to lie I had 2 cups of these bad boys above. This cup of strawberrys and cream is 98.913% of why we go to this rodeo. They are so cheap and absolutely delicious. You are probably drooling just staring at it right??

Memorial Day!!

Every Memorial Day the Garbett side goes to visit my grandpa and grandma Garbett. I have never met my grandpa he died before I was born and my grandma died when I was in the sixth grade. I always wonder what it would be like if they were still around. I sure loved my grandma. Its so great to know that we get to see the people we love again.

Grams and Gramps buried right next to each other.

Our family has this tradition every year after we visit the graves we always go get KFC.. Don't ask me why or how it started and its probably the one time a year I eat KFC but I'm not going to lie I enjoy it everytime. My uncle lives right across from the capital so we took our KFC over to the capital and had our selves one heck of a picnic.

Deeelicious!

Who's Who???

Lee Dewyze WON American Idol.

Taylor has been getting so much from so many people that he looks just like Lee! Im not going to lie sometimes I think he looks a lot like him and at times I would just pretend that taylor could actually sing that good. Cheesy I know but I love when boys can sing and this is as close as Im ever gonna get to taylor singing so I think its fair to say I can dream.

Belated Mothers Day

Okay so I know Mothers Day was forever ago but I am just proud of myself I am even updating. For Mothers Day I wanted to give my mom a break from cooking . So I offered to make dinner at my house for her and the fam. It made me appreciate my mom that much more realizing the work it takes to feed 7 people an entire meal. My mom is such a great cook and has taught me so many things. Some times I wonder If I will ever be half the woman she is. She is such a hard worker and I am so grateful for her example.
Luv ya MOM!

Almost our whole family! (Missed you Kim)

Taylor surprised me with flowers at work the friday before mothers day (there the flowers in the first picture). I was so surprised I had a grin clear to my ears. Taylor always has a way of surprising me.... Just when I think I know his every move he proves me wrong! I had to take a picture of the card he put with the flowers I thought it was cute.

A Weekend Get Away !!!

We took a much needed Vay K to Las Vegas. The weather was so nasty last weekend we thought no better time then to Hit up Sin city!

We stayed in the JW Marriott and when we got there Melissa and I were so excited to be in warm weather we started jumpin on the beds. The picture above says it better than words :)

We hung out in the sun playin some horse shoes...

The pool was the coolest part of the hotel!! It was so fun to just soak in all the sun we could get in one day pretty much.
You cant go to vegas and not hit up a buffet.... Our server Ronald was the coolest dude Ever. We honestly did not know he was in the picture until after and apparently by the looks of it I did not know we were taking a picture either.

And of course we had to walk the buffet off so we strolled down the strip. I think Las Vegas is by FAR thee best place to people watch. Its incredible to see all the wierdies down on the strip but Im not going to lie I enjoyed every second.

We saw this pink truck on the way home! I had to snap a picture because who paints there truck Pink.... and it was totally a dude driving it .

Today.....

...... was supposed to be Lexi's birthday! my original due date was April 23rd it is wierd to think I would of been fatter than a planet right now. When some people have asked me what happened I usually never get through it because I get all teary. So I thought that today would be the most appropiate day to share my story. It might get long sorry.
Everything up until I was 5 months pregnant was going really well, at all my monthly check ups her heart beat was great all looked good. It wasnt until we went in to find out what we were having when all the bad news just kept flooding in. We were so excited to find out we were having a girl. Taylor and I both thought for sure it was going to be a boy but we adjusted quick to the idea of a girl. I kept expecting the radiologist to be like looks like your having a "healthy baby girl" ya know like they say to everyone else. She didnt say that but she also didnt say anything was wrong I could just tell by the questions she was asking me. I left the doctors that day feeling a little uneasy.
The next day I missed a call from my doctor and my stomach kinda just kringed because my doctor never calls its usually his assistant. I knew at this point something was up and I told taylor I dont dare call him back I dont want to know what he has to say. I built up the courage to call him back and I was shaking really bad. He told me that my babys limbs were a couple weeks behind the rest of her body. He reassured me that he has seen this before and it really is no big deal but just to be safe he was going to send me to a specialist in MFN (maternal fetal medicine) where you go when something is wrong with your baby. I got an ultrasound from the MFN doctor and she said yea it looks like your baby could have some kind of bone dysplaysia and the most common of those is Dwarfism.. my jawed dropped and we looked at the doctor like she was crazy seriously... how is that possible!! but she also said but maybe the limbs are just taking longer than the rest and they could catch up. So taylor and I made another appointment with the doc in MFN in three weeks to get another ultrasound to see her improvment. 3 Looooooong weeks went by and taylor and I were nervous because we had been hoping and praying that her limbs had caught up at least a couple of weeks. The doc came in took a look at my baby and I will never forget the look on her face and I knew at that moment that I was not going to get this baby. She told me that pretty much all together not only did her limbs not grow her whole body stopped growing. This was on jan 11. she told me she wanted me to come back on wed Jan 13. to see if she still had a heart beat.
Taylor and I left the hospital me in tears (taylor doesnt cry) . Taylor said to me everything will be ok Kristin there just exaggerating it. I wanted to believe him but Iknew she wasnt going to make it. Its a undescribable feeling basically just waiting till your baby stops moving. All day I would just sit there making sure I felt her move. I remember that night I woke up from a dead sleep it was 4:00am in morning I was wide awake and I felt Lexi move its like she woke me up to say goodbye I told her I loved her then I just knew she was gone.
I happened to have a doctors appointment the next day Jan.12 with my regular doctor. My appointment was at 3p. Taylors parents were coming in to town on thurs and I was so worried I wasn't going to get the house clean before I left because I wasnt for sure If I was going to be coming back home or if I was going to be admitted into the hospital . Something just kept telling me clean before you go to your appointment. That little voice also told me to pack a bag. I was only hesitant to do it because I thought taylor would think i was crazy. He thought it was probably going to be ok. I did it anyway packed my bag cleaned my house as much as I could.
I was so nervous for my appointment I knew she was gone but the site of actually not seeing her heart beat I knew was going to kill me. I just kept thinking about her little hands and feet that I had seen so many times on the ultrasound I didnt know if I had the strengh to see them when she was out. The doctor confirmed there was no heartbeat and admitted me right then into the hospital to induce me to get her out. I called my Mom and sisters balling to let them know Lexi was gone. 17 (not fun) hours later she came Jan 13, 1 pound, 11 inches.

I will always remember her cute little body. They did molds of her hands and feet, took pictures, gave me some clothes to put her in and took pictures of her. I am grateful for those memories I have of her. I know with all my heart that she is where she is supposed to be and that I will get to see her again. How grateful I am for the knowledge of heavenly fathers plan. These are the things that makes it so I can handle it. I read this book and it said just picture yourself giving your baby to heavenly father. I sometimes get these urges wanting to squeeze her little hands and cuddle with her. Everyday I am grateful for her and I feel lucky that I have a little angel watching over me.
